Take the first person plural (nous) of the present tense and remove ‘ons’ ending

Regular or Irregular verbs in the imperfect tense?
A
The only verb that does not follow the rule for the formation of the imperfect is être. Even if the first person plural in the present tense is irregular it will be formed in the regular way in the imperfect (ie. remove ‘ons’ and add correct ending).
