Reform Jews and Kosher
Reform Jews will adapt the kosher rules to suit their own
lifestyles; some will eat meat and milk yet still refuse to eat pork.
In Leviticus Chapter 11, there are details regarding the foods that can and cannot be eaten in Judaism.
Kosher laws come from Torah and forbid the mixing of meat and milk dishes.
Sukkot
Sukkot is an important harvest festival that is part
of the mitzvahs.
It remembers the 40 year period when the Jews were in the desert on their way to the promise land.
The shelters are made to represent the temporary shelter they used. Some families will sleep and eat in the Sukkah.
Twospecial objects are used during the festival (etrog
and Lulav), bringing them together is a reminder
that Jews should be united.
