Mainly middle class ppts (men) so findings may not be generalisable to females and wider society.
Studies carried out on women haven’t shown such a major difference between Type A and Type B health. This may suggest that women may have an alternative coping strategy to reduce the effects of stress. For example social support.
Therefore the findings may only be useful to understand the effects of stress in males

Criticise the study in terms of using a questionnaire

Answer 2

Was self report method so ppts can act under social desirability as they may not want to appear weak (especially because they’re males) which makes the use of self reports unreliable.
Therefore it doesn’t give us useful information about how personality could be a source of stress.
