Gerrymandering
Deliberately planning an electoral system in order to exclude a given group and keep a different group in power indefinitely- a popular example is Londonderry
Northern Ireland Civil rights association (NICRA)
Created in 1964, when the civil rights movement in Northern Ireland started to challenge this discrimination. They had a list of demands: one man one vote, redrawing electoral boundaries, and anti-discrimination laws
Apprentice boys
A loyalist organisation that marches annually to commemorate the closing of the gates of the city of Derry to Catholic forces by 13 apprentice boys
