a leading Pharisee, lead to faith in Jesus under the cover of night, who rose to defend Jesus
during the Feast of Tabernacles. Helps Joseph of Arimathea anoint Jesus body with 100 pounds if myrrh
and aloes and wrap Him after removal from the cross.
Bartimaeus
blind beggar who, when he hears it is Jesus, begins to cry out “Jesus, Thou Son of David,
have mercy on me”. The crowds tell him to be quiet but he cries out even more. Jesus asks what he
wants. Bartimaeus replies, “Lord, that I might receive my sight.” Jesus replied “Go thy way, thy faith hath
made thee whole.”
Cleopas
a follower of Jesus traveling with another person was joined by Jesus on the road to Emmaus,
but he didn’t recognize Jesus, he believed that Jesus came to redeem Israel and didn’t. Jesus rebukes for
unbelief and expounds the Old Testament Messianic Passages, beginning with Moses. After being asked
to stay for the night, they then recognize Jesus as He takes and blesses the bread while at supper.
