what is obedience
obedience is a form of social influence, for example when a person obeys orders from someone else, usually a perceived authority figure. We are socialised to obey, obedience prevents accidents and creates and orderly society, without obedience there would be challenges to social order resulting in chaos and war.
what is conformity
Conformity is matching the beliefs and behaviour of others to fit in or because we do not know how to behave in an unusual situation. There are 3 types,
compliance, internalisation and identification.
what is deindividuation
members lose their personal identity and responsibility within a large group.
what is the bystander effect
Failing to help a person when they are in need.
