direct blow to lateral leg which puts strain on MCL
slow developing effusion + joint line tenderness
chondromalacia patellae - features
teenage girls, following injury to knee eg dislocated patella
pain going down stairs or at rest
tenderness + quads wasting
patella dislocation - investigation
skyline X-rays of patella
LCL injury
direct blow to medial leg, putting strain on LCL
slow developing effision
lateral joint line tenderness
