Q

What are the five principles of kinetic molecular energy?

A
  • Gases are all hard spheres
  • they are infinitely smaller compared to V(system)
-they undergo elastic collision (no stickiness/reaction)
  • T = system T, that gives all of them the same Ek (T proportional to Ek)
  • all have the same Ek, BUT Ek=1/2mv^2 result in different velocities as inverse square of mass.

As Ek=1/2mv^2….

A

(m1v1)^2=(m2v2) ^2, they combine with diffusion and effusion (m1d1)^2=(m2d2)^2
