his virtues sing like angels (about king duncan)
king duncan is presented as a fair king who brang power to scotland
as he is chosen by the divine right of kings so he is being referred to as angel like
shows he was pure and fair
he is shown to be fair when he promotes macbeth for his bravery
each new morn new widows howl, new orphans cry new sorrows (macbeth)
shows the destructive nature of kingship like because he has gone against the divine right of kings and has claimed the throne but different means
he has become tyrannical
this subverts macbeth at the beginning of the play when he is described as noble macbeth
treason was punished with death during the jacobean era
brave macbeth-well he deserves that name (about mac beth )
shows how he did deserve the king and maybe would have adopted the throne one day but he went against his own legacy due to greed
‘modest wisdom plucks me / From over-credulous haste.(malcom)
shows how he has learnt from his mistakes and is less gullible than his father
he has learnt from his father and has learnt from his own mistake
O valiant cousin, worthy gentleman (about macbeth)
shows how duncan is too willing to believe macbeth and thats why he got deceived so easily which was a fatal flaw
