Son of Henry VIII’s 3rd wife Jane Seymour. Was king from age 9 until when he died age 15. Strongly Protestant. Book of Common Prayer was written.

Daughter of Henry VIII’s 1st wife Catherine of Aragon. Very catholic, persecuted protestants (Bloody Mary). Short reign.

Daughter of Henry VIII’s 2nd wife Anne Boleyn. Protestant, politically skilled. Shakespeare, US colonies

Protestant king of Scotland that also became king James I of England when Elizabeth I died. New translation of the Bible.

Protestant son of James VI/I. Both were governing without seeking approval of the parliament which contained Puritans. Was executed in 1649.

Protestant ruler of the Netherlands. Married to Mary, daughter of James II. Became king in the Glorious Revolution. Defeated James II at the Battle of the Boyne (1690) in Ireland.
