Seymour’s downfall

A
  • failed to deal with Kett’s rebellion (1549)
  • alienated many in the privy council
  • Costly + ineffective foreign policy
  • Duke of northumberland gained power + influence in his place, seymour’s power decline
  • 1552, Seymou arrested + tried for treason + executed
