What is stage 1 of optoelectronic data analysis
Define your variables (should allow somebody else to replicate your analysis e.g., peak knee flexion in sagittal plane)
Three types of interpolation
Linear, polynomial, pattern
What is gap filling (interpolation)
Calculates probable path for the trajectory in the gap between tracked parts
Linear interpolation
Calculates straight line between the start and end of the gap
Polynomial interpolation
Uses 2 frames before and after the gap to fit a polynomial curve
Pattern interpolation
Uses the movement of another close marker to predict the movement of another marker
Signal =
Large amplitude, low frequency
Noise =
Small amplitude, high frequency
