Q

Mental faith

A

True faith is not mental assent to truth. Men will believe that God is able and that He has promised to do certain things if true faith were exercised.

Mental assent to truth without active faith in it.

Q

Mental faith

A

Passive faith. One of the most dangerous enemies of true faith in God. Claims all the faith in the world and is satisfied with either anything or nothing from God. If it does not get what it wants, it does not care.
