I’ve had personal success dissolving a 4mm stone with Chanca Piedra.
I ordered the Peruvian Naturals Chanca Piedra 500mg capsules off Amazon. I took as directed on the bottle and passed a fully pulverized stone within 4 days. No pain at all!I will say though, this is quite a potent diuretic, so be mindful of symptoms of low potassium while taking it. If you (or your patient) is on the sensitive side, you may want to consider supplementing with additional potassium while taking it.
Also drink apple cider vinegar with filtered water.

I use a lot of western herbs in my practice too and I swear by chance piedra (stone breaker)! I had a patient pass a big stone with no pain at all after taking this herb in tincture form. I also gave him cornsilk tincture, marshmallow root, slippery elm. Increase water a lot of course, and lemon in the water. Be careful, of course, not to make promises, but I have definitely found that surgery is not always necessary, even if the MDs think so originally.

China Herb carries a formula for this: it’s based on the formula of one of my teachers at the Xi Yuan Hospital. Basically, a modified XCHT. it’s lovely.The risk s that is can begin to pass and get stuck in the common bile duct, necessitating emergency surgery. However, this can Happen if if she does nothing. But be certain to explain this to her.
If she is determined to move it, the Edgar Cayce apple fast combined with hottish castor oil packs combined with acupuncture will do it, but there is the distinct danger that it will lodge further down. I would also tell her NO coffee and lots of water and oatmeal on a regular basis after she passes the stone.
