Misplaced Modifier rule
Make sure the noun is next to what it modifies. Even if it is not clear in the beginning look at the commas and see if it modifies in the middle, end or the beginning. Look at the words and not just being concise.
Multiple structures (Wyoming Plains)
If you think it is testing one thing like parallel structure. Other parts also have to make sense and be grammatical.
Guessing ( Gut feeling) - Historical context
- Has to fulfill both parts of the question.
- If the other MC also sounds good. Stop and look to the passage.
- Question the MC and see if you are inferring (or straightforward). Sometimes it doesn’t have to be the main subject like wolf and coyote.
Amenable
“to” not with
If you have to change the conjugation or the word.
Look to see if there is parallel structure by phrases such as “and” or look at the surrounding subjects and verbs.
Subject Verb Agreement
Look to see what the subject (antecedent) is. You can find it if you look before and logically see what fits. Also, it would mention afterwards as well.
Complete Sentences
A sentence just needs a subject and a verb. If there are phrases like “not only” don’t be shy!

Watch out for prepositional phrases.
Question like “the offspring”
If in doubt about plural and singular (check the context and look after).
