The person gives consent to die

A person is not able to give their consent to die
Passive euthanasia
When the patient dies because the medical professionals either don’t do something necessary to keep the patient alive or when they stop doing something that is keeping the patient alive (switch off life support, disconnect feeding tube, dont give life extending drugs)
Active euthanasia
When the medical professionals, or other person, deliberately do something that causes the patient to die (lethal injection, overdose of drugs)
Assisted suicide
A person give someone the means to end their own life
Dignitas
A Swiss organisation that helps people and their lives
Hospice
The place where the terminally ill people and their families go for support and to end their lives
