Since the earth belongs to God, people have a duty as stewards to look after the earth on Gods behalf. In return humans are able to use whatever the earth provides for their own survival. People do not jane the right to abuse the natural world.
People think by looking after the earth it will help to ensure a good afterlife.

Buddhists believe the world evolves and follows a cycle of decay, death and rebirth.
