What is a design argument?
-Arguments for God’s existence that claim that there is complexity in the world that is evidence of design, and design requires a designer, which is God.
What is a tautology?
-A statement that repeats the subject in the predicate, that says the same thing twice.
What is the euthyphro dilemma?
-What is the relationship between God and reality? Is morality something independent of God or is it whatever God wills it to be?
What is an analytic proposition?
-A proposition that is true or false in virtue of the meanings of the words. E.g. a bachelor is an unmarried man
What is a synthetic proposition?
-A proposition that is true or false depending on the way the world is. E.g. Paris is the capital of France
What is the difference between eternal and everlasting.
- Eternal- Timeless (atemporal). What is eternal can’t have the concepts beginning or end even applied to it. Exists outside of time.
- Everlasting- Existing throughout all of time, without beginning or end
What is a Blik?
-An attitude to or view of the world that is not had or withdrawn on the basis of empirical evidence.
