Key words Flashcards

ACcurate is Correct (or Close to real value)
Precise
Precision is how consistent results are when measurements are
repeated.
PRecise is Repeating (or Repeatable)
Repeatable results
A measurement is repeatable if the SAME person repeats the
experiment using same meth
Reproducile results
A measurement is reproducible if ANOTHER person (or the same
person using DIFFERENT equipment/method) can get the same
results.
Anomalous Results
Anomalous results: Anomalous results don’t fit the pattern and
should be ignored and not included in the mean.
Validity
Validity is how well a test measures what it is supposed to measure
Representative Data

Resolution
The smallest, perceptible of a measurement reading
