This is the book of God’s Word. Has the history of the Jews, life of Christ, and the teachings of God and Jesus
Conscience
The inner voice a person has which Christians believe is the voice of God. Our moral compass
Devil/Satan
The being who is opposite to God, representing Evil
Evil
A word to describe something which is very bad or morally wrong.
Natural evil - An event which happens in nature, e.g. Tornadoes and earthquakes
Moral evil - Evil which people do to each other, such as murder or bullying
Faith
This word reflects the idea of trust and belief in something. Christians have faith in God.
Freewill
This means that people have a choice to follow God or disobey God.
God
This is a supreme being whom Christians believe is all good, all powerful and all loving
Moral behavior
Someone behave morally when they lead a life without sin - when they do not go against the teaching of God and Jesus
Moral Code
right ways to behave - the rules of God e.g. the ten commandments
Original sin
Referring to the first sin which had been done by Adam and Eve; when they disobeyed God and took fruit from the tree of knowledge of good and evil.
Origins
The word means “the beginnings” In this topic “origins of evil” describe how evil entered God’s good and perfect creature
Problem of Evil
This asks the question: Why does God not stop evil and suffering when he is supposed to be all loving and powerful
Redemption
This is the word given to the act of delivering or saving someone from evil; e.g. Jesus dying on the cross caused the redemption of human kind.
Repentance
The act of saying sorry and truly meaning it, while at the same time saying that the wrong action will never be repeated.
