What is Revelation?
The way in which God is made known to humans, believed by Catholics to be most perfectly done through Jesus.
What is Salvation?
The process of being saved from sin and returning to God through his Grace.
What is Incarnation?
The belief that God became man in the person of Jesus, who is truly human and truly divine.
What is a Prophet?
A person inspired by God through the Holy Spirit to share messages from God.
What is the Trinity?
The Christian belief that there are three persons in one God.
What is Repentance?
A change of heart and mind that brings us closer to God, including turning away from sin and turning to God for forgiveness.
What is Ministry?
The work a person carries out to spread the word of God.
Who are Marginalised people?
People considered to be of minor importance.
What is a Disciple?
A follower of somebody; a learner.
What is an Apostle?
Someone who has been sent out.
What is Mission in Christianity?
An important task given by Jesus to the apostles - to spread the message to follow Jesus.
What is Brahman in Hinduism?
The belief that there is one Great Power.
What is Reincarnation?
When a person dies, the soul moves into the body of another person or living being.
What is a Mandir?
A Hindu place of worship.
What is Enlightenment?
Gaining the truth or wisdom about life and finding peace of mind.
What is Meditation?
Concentrating to reduce anxiety, relax, or enhance spiritual growth.
What are The Five Precepts and list them?
The Buddhist version of a code of conduct or rules to help people behave in a moral and ethical way.
- Refrain from taking life Not killing any living being. For Buddhists, this includes animals, so many Buddhists choose to be vegetarian.
- Refrain from taking what is not given Not stealing from anyone.
- Refrain from the misuse of the senses Not having too much sensual pleasure. For example, not looking at people in a lustful way or committing adultery.
- Refrain from wrong speech Not lying or gossiping about other people.
- Refrain from intoxicants that cloud the mind Not drinking alcohol or taking drugs, as these do not help you to think clearly.
