Thyromata
Openings or doors that are part of the skene at the back of the theatre. This would be where the important characters came in and out of.
Skene
Portion of the stage where actors preformed (included 3 doors in and out)
Orchestra
The “dancing place” where the chorus sang to the audience.
Theatron
Seating place for audience
Parados (staging)
Doors from the side where typically the chorus enter.
Chiton
A simple draped dress worn by men and women alike. This could be worn with or without sleeves. (eg, Antigone and Ismene would both wear Chitons, Antigone’s sleeveless and plain Ismene’s with more decoration)
Chlamys
A cloak worn by men on the right shoulder. Often worn by soldiers.
Himation
Draped mantle for men and women, worn by wealthy people. When worn by men it tented to have no decoration.
Peplos
Woollen dress, worn by women only. (possibly could be worn by Eurydice or Ismene)
Syrma
Dress with long train worn by tragic actors.
Proscenion
The bit of stage infront of the skene which the main characters stand on.
