What does shanty mean?
A shanty is a small rough hut built from not very strong materials.
What does corruption mean?
Illegal or dishonest behaviour by people in positions of power.
What does stifling mean?
Stifling heat is heat so intense it makes you feel uncomfortable.

Someone who lives illegally in an unused or abandoned building
What does siphon mean?
If you siphon from something you cause them to be used for an unintended purpose
What does prosecution mean?
The prosecution are lawyers who try to prove that the person on trial is guilty
What does poise mean?
If someone has poise it means they are calm and in control
What does destitute mean?
Someone who is a destitute has no money or belongings
What does marginalised mean?
To marginalise a group of people means to make them feel ashamed or unimportant
