What is Celsius? What is waters freezing point and boiling point in Celsius?
Celsius is a unit of temperature. Water freezers at 0 degrees Celsius and boils at 100 degrees Celsius.
What’s a chemical change?
A chemical change produces a new type of matter from the original.
What is chemistry?
Chemistry is the study of composition, properties and interactions of matter.
What is a compound?
A compound is a pure substance that can be decomposed into two or more elements.
Cubic centimeter (cm^3 or cc)
Is the volume of a cube with an edge length of exactly 1cm.
Cubic meter (m^3) is?
SI until of volume.
What is density?
Density is the ratio of mass to volume for a substance.
What is dimensional analysis?
A way to solve simple unit conversions to more complex.
What is an element?
An element is a substance that is composed of a single type of atom that cannot be decomposed by a chemical change.
Exact numbers.
Numbers derived by counting and does not have fault.
Extensive property?
Property of a substance that depends on the amount of substance.
Fahrenheit?
Unit of temperature. Water freezes at 32 degrees Fahrenheit and boils at 212 degree Fahrenheit.
What is the three states of matter?
Solid, liquid, gas and plasma.
