Subjective
According to someone’s opinion - not a fact.
Objective
A fact that is not according to someone’s opinion - it cannot be debated.
Relative morality
According to the circumstances - an act/decision is based on the events that lead up to it and the consequences after the decision is made.
Absolute morality
Some things that are always right and wrong - ones that our behaviour should always abide by.
Teleological Theories
If a good thing happens from your action, even if your action might have been controversial, then it was acceptable.
Deontological Theories
Associated with action rather than the outcome - whatever you do, it should always be good, and the outcome cannot justify the action.
Agape
The unconditional and enduring love from God towards humanity.
Conscientia
The action part of conscience - ratio helps synderesis to occur, resulting in using your conscience to do the right things.
Ratio
Reason and ability to make moral judgements.
Synderesis
The process part of conscience - moral knowledge, primary precepts (like Natural Law), helping us to ‘do good and avoid evil.
Telos
The ultimate end
