The belief or desire of a government or people that a country should maintain a strong military capability and be prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote national interests

Agreements made between countries to give help if needed

When a country takes over new lands or counties and makes them subject to their rule

To be a strong supporter of the rights and interests of one’s country

An alliance that was made between Germany, Austria-Hungary, Italy
Triple Entente
An alliance that was made between France, Great Britain and Russia during WWI
Weltpolitik (World Policy)
It was the Imperialist foreign policy adopted by the German Empire during the reign of Kaiser/Emperor Wilhelm II

It was designed to allow Germany to wage a successful two-front war

The clause in the Treaty of Versailles that said Germany had to take the blame for the War and pay reparations
Successor States
A smaller country formed after a larger country has been divided up
