Q

what do i need to remember when doing the close reading paper

A
  • think about the idea behind what the writer is saying when you are paraphrasing and then paraphrase that rather than just turning into a human thesaurus
  • really think deeply about the key ideas in the two passages
  • word choice the f out of the passage whenever there are language questions because if you remember the way the marking instructions are, there are literally loads of possibilities
  • think like the marking instructions as much as you can
  • what is the writer saying?????
  • read the whole passage dont go straight to the questions
  • dont overcomplicate it - when you look at the marking instructions its so much more simpler than you make it out to be when you are doing the paper - so just simplify it - dont make it hard for yourself
