Where society is divided into 2 or more groups and compete for power

What is functionalism?
Believe society is held together by norms and values
What is marxism?
Don’t agree with functionalism, see that there’s 2 classes the bourgeoisie (money) and proletariat (poor)
What is feminism?
Society is in conflict and unequal genders
What is social action?
Don’t examine society in harmony. See how individuals create the world around them and have free will and choice
What is post modernism?
Rejects structuralist theories and social rules control our values no longer exist
