How do you recognise Major keys with sharps?
Go up one note from last sharp eg: F# next note is G so it’s GM. F# + C# next note up from C is D so DM etc.
How do you recognise Major Keys with flats?
Go back one flat in the key signature to find the key. eg 2bs B and E is BbMajor; eg: 3 flats B,E and A is EbM
How do I find the relative minor of a major key signature?
Go down a 3rd from the major key eg: DM becomes Bm eg: GM becomes Em
