What is an independent variable?
The thing in the experiment that we are changing.
What is a dependent variable?
The thing in the experiment that we are measuring
What is the control variable?
The thing in the experiment that we are keeping the same
What does accuracy mean?
How close a result is to its true value.
What does anomaly mean?
A result that does not fit the pattern of the other results.
What does precision mean?
How accurate a number is ( for example, a scale that measures 5.1g is more accurate that a scale that measures 5g, for example )
What does reliability mean?
If results are close/similar in value to one another than it would be reliable even if it isn’t accurate.
What does validity mean?
A valid result is a true/correct result. Validity is reduced if the control variables are not suitably controlled.
