define genotype.
an organism’s genotype is the set of genes in its DNA responsible for a particular trait.
define phenotype.
the observable and measurable characteristics of an organism
define speciation.
speciation is how new species are created in the course of evolution, speciation occurs when a group within a species separates from other members of its species and develops its own unique characteristics.
define classification.
biological classification is the process by which scientists group living organisms, the classifications are animalia, plantae, fungi, prostita and monera.
what are the features most common to primates?
hands and feet - prehensile hands and feet and opposable thumbs.
shoulders and hips - flexible and limber shoulders and hip joints, in order to aid their lifestyle.
define biodiversity.
biodiversity is the variety of all living things ; the different plants, animals and micro organisms, the genetic information they contain and the ecosystems they form.
