A period when investors face sudden losses because of unforeseen events.

An unpredictable event that is beyond what is normally expected of a situation and has potentially severe consequences (market crashes etc).

An investing term for the temporary rise in the price of a STOCK or other ASSET during a long period of decline.

A market participant with enough buying or selling power to cause a temporary increase or decrease in an ASSETS price.

A company that reaches a valuation of £1 billion without being listed on the stock market.

A belief that a stocks value will soon increase exponentially.
What is ‘Tanking’?
When a price is falling very rapidly.
What is ‘Going Long’?
Buying a stock and profiting from its rising value.
