scotland act 1998:
-gave the scottish parliament primary legislative powers in a number of domestic areas, including law and order etc
-gave scotland tax-varying powers (within 3p)
scotland act 2012:
-transferred significant tax raising powers to scottish parliament, most noticably the ability to raise/lower income tax by up to 10p in the pound
-it devolved stamp duty and landfill taxes to scotland
scotland act 2016:
-devolved further powers to scotland e.g. equal opportunities
-they are now allowed to set their own air passenger duty and create income tax rates
Northern Ireland - good friday agreement 1998:
-established power sharing devolution agreement and required the UK and irish government to amend their constitutions to clarify the status of Northern Ireland
-required the decommissions of weapons and different factions to work together with westminster

-gave northern ireland primary legislative powers
-e.g. education, housing, local government
government of wales act 1998:
-created the welsh assembly following a referendum
-gave wales secondary legislative powers over certain areas e.g. agriculture, education etc so that the welsh assembly would become responsible for carrying those out in respect of wales
government of wales act 2006:
-gave wales the opportunity to request further powers from westminster
-enabled them to gain primary legislative powers if approved by a referendum
-established the welsh assembly executive (government)
2011 referendum (wales):
-gave primary legislative powers
- 64% voted in favour, allowing this to happen
wales act 2014:
-gave wales tax raising powers e.g. stamp duty
-further tax powers could be devolved with the agreement of westminster
wales act 2017:
-gave wales additional primary legislative powers over new policy areas devolved to them
-e.g. control over its own electoral system
senedd and elections wales act 2020:
-formally changed the name of the legislation to senedd cymru (welsh parliament)
-gave 16 + 17 year olds the right to vote in welsh and local elections
