Imperialism
A policy of extending a countries power & influence through colonisation, use of military force and other means.
Liberalism
Open to new ideas and acceptance of different behaviours and opinions.
Internationalism
The state or process of being international.
Nationalism
A sense of loyalty to a particular nation.
Extremism
The holding of extreme political or religious views; fanaticism
Democratisation
Introduction to the democratic system or principles.
Militarism
Belief that a country should maintain a strong military capability and be prepared to use it aggressively to defend or promote national interests.
Socialism
A political and economic theory of social organisations which advocate that means of production, distribution and exchange should be owned or regulated by the whole community.
Fascism
A community is perceived as a ‘bundle’ - one body that must be controlled by the government with absolute force.
