Noun
Names a person, place, or thing.
Subject pronoun
Indicates who or what “performs” the action of a sentence as in: I, you, he, she, it, they, and we are subjects.
Object pronoun
Indicates who and what “receives” action me, you, him, her, it, us, and them are objects.
Singular Noun
Names, person, place, or thing.
Plural Noun
Names more than one.
Possessive Noun
Shows ownership.
Adjective
Tells what kind of, which one, or how many.
Adverb
Tells how, where, when, and to what extent.
Verb
Word that expresses action or a state of being.
Predicate
The sentence part that says something about the subject. It contains the verb or verb phrase.
Direct object
Is a noun that follows an action verb. It receives the action.

Shows the time of action: past, present, and future.
