Explain what confirmation is all about

A

Confirmation is the rite at which those who have been baptised seek the blessing of the Holy Spirit for their growth as Christians. The confirmation candidates first confirm the promises of their baptism. The bishop lays a hand on them, praying to the Holy Spirit will confirm, strengthen and guide them out to live out their faith in their everyday lives

  • he went over to the man and put oil and wine on his wounds and bandaged them
  • he took him to an inn to take care of him
  • he gave the innkeeper two silver coins and told the innkeeper the next day to take care of him: “when i come back this way i will pay you whatever else you spent on him”
