Idea
A thought, viewpoint, notion or understanding about a text. Usually conveyed in a sentence
Voice
The personality of the character or author.
Perspective
A person’s view of the world, shaped by their context. The three W’s. Who? What? Why?
Attitude
An outlook or specific feeling about something. It is conveyed through language and revealed in characters.
Issues
It is the matter of personal/public concerns that is in dispute. It indirectly affects a person or members of a society and are considered problems.
Usually conveyed in 1-2 words. Societal/social problem
Purpose
Intention or aim of the writer in producing the text. It is the reason for which something is done or created.
Audience
The group of readers, listeners or viewers that the author is addressing. It can be considered by age, gender, culture or interests etc.
Context
The circumstances that form an event. It is the environment in which a text is responded to or created. Some factors are historical, social, cultural and personal.
Representation
The way that people, places, objects, events or subjects are presented in a text.
Values
What you care about, believe or deem important to you.
Interpretation
The process of making meaning of text.
