lesion

A

characterized by its chronicity.
initially discrete, the lesion freq coalesce to form linear and reticulate arrays of warty lichenoid lesions.
keratotic plugs and telangiectasia may be present.
palms and soles have discrete hyperkeratotic papules.

nail change; thickening of nail playe, yellowing, longitudinal ridging, onycholysis, hyperkeratosis, paronychia, warty lesions of periungual areas.

When does childhood cases appear

A

infants Affect it in the first year of life. have prominent facial purpura and erythema. esp cheeks.
AR inheritance.

Histo

A

Irregular acanthosis; epidermal atrophy.
w hyperkeratosis and zones of parakeratosis.
a lichenoid infiltrate consist primarily if lymphocytes a d cacuolad alterstion at the basal cell layer. mared follicular pluggibg abd plugging of acrosyringia.

Topical calcipotriol, phototx
oral retinoid
photodynamic tx
systemic retinoid.

rarely respond to topical and systemic steroid.
