Q

What kind of evidence did you collect

A

At the bank, I gathered evidence and information from the lobby, teller area, and utility closet. The following days I analyzed bank footage and the call histories of the confiscated burner phones.

Q

Agent James, I wanna start with that inspection of the lobby. Did you find anything that looked out of place in your visual inspection?

A

I found two things. First. The camera was pointed towards the ceiling. Second. The silent alarm signaled it had not been tripped.

Q

You said the camera was pointed at the ceiling. Do you know if anyone moved it to that position?

A

I dusted the camera for fingerprints and found one use-able print. When I ran the print through our system it was a match to Parker Barrow’s left index finger.

Q

You also mentioned that the silent-alarm wasn’t tripped, why did that stick out to you?

A

It was noticeable since the authorities were alerted by an outside witness. Additionally, the alarm showed neutral lights, which should have been red if the alarm had been triggered.

Q

Do you know if the alarm system was working that day?

A

I tested the system myself and it worked just fine, so if the teller had triggered the alarm, one of the indicator lights should have been on and the authorities should have been notified.

Q

You mentioned that you also looked at some call histories. What did you find in those?

A

There were four numbers in the call history of the robbers’ phones. Two of the numbers belong to the confiscated phones and the other two we did not have the phones for.

17
Q

Who did those numbers belong to?

A

My team and I know one number belonged to Jane Doe - the getaway driver. The fourth likely belonged to the inside source.

18
Q

Let’s move on to the witness testimonies. Did you speak to the defendant, Parker Barrow?

A

I first spoke to Ms. Barrow over the phone, a few hours after the robbery had taken place.

19
Q

What did the defendant tell you?

A

Ms. Barrow calmly recalled what occurred the night before the robbery. She told me she was the last person to leave the bank and detailed where she was within the bank at the end of her shift.

20
Q

Did you ask the defendant anything else?

A

Seeing as we could have gotten so much information from the camera, I asked Ms. Barrow if she knew why the camera was pointed towards the ceiling.

21
Q

Did the defendant know why?

A

No ma’am. Ms. Barrow claimed she did not know why the camera was facing upwards.

22
Q

Did you ask anything else?

A

I asked Ms. Barrow if she has ever used the yellow ladder in the bank.

23
Q

Did the defendant ever use the ladder?

A

Ms. Barrow claimed she may have, but she could not recall the last time she had used it.

24
Q

Is that all you spoke to the defendant about?

A

No, ma’am. I concluded by asking Ms. Barrow about the panic button.

25
Q

What did the defendant say to that? (alarm?)

A

Ms. Barrow insisted she had triggered the alarm.

26
Q

Did you get to speak to the defendant again?

A

Yes ma’am. I spoke to Ms. Barrow once more when I interrogated her on November 1st.

27
Q

Did anything stand out about that conversation?

A

Ms. Barrow made some interesting statements. She claimed she has never touched the camera, that she did not know the yellow existed then said no to ever using it, and that she reiterated she had triggered the silent alarm.

28
Q

Did the defendant mention anything else? (sept notice)

A

Ms. Barrow did mention that Ms. Sutton had given her a notice back in September that she would be working alone on October 31st.

29
Q

Did you interview anyone else?

A

I also interviewed the sole eyewitness, Jackie Foley, and the bank manager, Cassidy Sutton, over the phone the day of the robbery.

30
Q

Did you get to talk to Sutton in person?

A

Ms. Sutton met me at the bank the day after the robbery, to show me security footage from October 30th, one day before the robbery.

31
Q

What did you notice about the footage?

A

Well, Ms. Barrow’s movement in the bank around closing time was something that stood out. I actually bought a diagram to show exactly what I saw.

32
Q

Agent James, can you walk us through exactly what stuck out to you from the October 30th footage?

A

Barrow’s movement did not reflect those of someone closing a bank. From 5:30 pm to 5:50 p.m. Barrow can be seen walking through the lobby area, moving from along the arrows 1,2 and 3. At 5:50 p.m. Barrow walks along the path of arrow 4, underneath the camera, into the employee hallway, and that is the last time she is seen. About 15 minutes later the camera is then moved upward.

33
Q

Did you see anyone else walk through the bank between when the defendant left and when the camera was moved upwards?

A

No ma’am. Ms. Barrow was the last person seen in the footage on October 30th 2017.
