The original explosion thats what made the universe start expanding.

The spectrum of electromagnetic radiations from a atom or molecule.

The distance between two crests of a wave.
Frequency
The amount of occurrences of something that is repeating over a certain amount of time.
Expansion
The act of becoming larger or extending.
Contraction
The act of becoming smaller.
Galaxy
A system of millions or billions of stars together with gas and dust, held together by gravitational forces.
Interstellar Cloud
An accumulation of gas, plasma, and dust in a galaxy.
Red Shift
The light reflection off of a galaxy showing it is getting farther from us.
Blue Shift
The light reflection off of a galaxy showing it is getting closer to us.
Doppler Effect
An increase (or decrease) in the frequency of sound, light, or other waves as the source moves toward (or away from) each other.
