stains cells of mesenchymal origin except the 3 muscle types; stains many sarcomas
desmin stains
( = an immunohitochemical (antibody) stain)
stains smooth, cardiac and skeletal muscle
acid-fast stain aka
- ziehl-neelson or fite stain
- stains acid-fast bacilli
