It’s our duty to do what is right

It’s your duty to tell the truth as lying cant be universalised - if your friend is murdered you’re not morally responsible
Summum Bonum
a higher good that comes from our good actions - implies the existence of an afterlife
+love clouds judgement mother and the murders son
sticking to principle is better than basing decision on feelings
+ consequences are hard to predict
For Kant outcomes outcomes dont matter all that matters is that you do the right thing
