Acute Orchitis?
inflammed or infected testis
swelling, tenderness
similar to epididymitis
a/w mumps, other viral
Spermatocele?
mass above testes painless, mobile contains sperm (P) trans-illum smaller than hydrocele
Testicular torsion?
twisting of spermatic cord
intense pain
red, swollen, tender scrotum
emergency
Testicular tumors?
firm, painless nodule
does not trans-illum
Perianal/Perirectal Abscess?
tear in retal wall permit infection into butt cheek
Perianal Condylomata
anal warts
Prostatitis?
enlarged, tender prostate
worse w/ acute infection
tx: Abx
Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy?
symmetrical enlargement of prostate
(U) old
slow urine stream, diff starting
CA of Prostate?
enlarged, firm nodule or hard area
irreg contour, median sulcus obscured
slow growing
metastasize locally and to bone
