Darkness and repression, represents those qualities we do not wish to acknowledge
Shadow
Feminine aspects of a men
Anima
Masculine aspects in women
Animus
Imitates anima and animus. associated with both positive and negative feelings
Great mother
Pre-existing knowledge of the mysteries of life
Wise old man
A powerful person. Sometimes part god who fights against great odds
Hero
Inherited tendency to move toward GROWTH.
Self
Question and answer, interpretation of concentric FIGURES
Mandala
Adaptation to the outside world. Involves forward flow.
Progression
Adaptation to the inner world. Relies on backward flow
Regression
To act or react in a characteristic function
Attitudes
2 types of attitudes
- Introversion- turning inward of psychic energy.
- Extraversion- turning outward of psychic energy.
Logical intellectual activity that produces a chain of ideas
Thinking
The process of event of evaluating an idea or event
Feeling
Function that receives physical stimuli and transmit them to perceptual consciousness
Sensing
Perception beyond the workings of consciousness
Intuiting
Stages of Development
-chaotic and sporadic consciousness

- people strive to gain psychic and physical independence from their parents

- this period is a time of big potentials

- people experience a diminution(decrease) of consciousness.
