An association has standing to assert claims of its mems, even if the assoc has not suffered any injury itself if:
mems would otherwise have standing to sue in their own right
int asserted is germaine to the assoc’s purpose
neither the claim asserted nor the relief requested would require participation by the ind mems in the lawsuit

A case is appealed from the highest state court. scotus will avoid the cons q bc
even if a st ct decision may involve a fed q,
