Judaism Flashcards
What is the difference beetween orthodox and reform judiaism?
The main differences between an Orthodox synagogue and a Reform synagogue is that men and women are allowed to sit together in a Reform synagogue, whereas they must sit apart in an Orthodox synagogue. Reform Jews also allow the ordination of women, which is a practice that is not permitted by Orthodox Jews. The reform Jewish people are much less strict then Orthodox jews. I definitly didn’t copy and paste😅
What does keeping kosher mean?
“Kosher” refers to a Jewish dietary framework for food preparation, processing, and consumption. Though variations exist, most guidelines forbid pairing meat and dairy and allow only certain animals to be eaten.
