What is an receptor?
A
Its a cell found in a sense organ e.g. eyes,ears,nose and fingertip. They detect pain.

What is an effector?
A
Its a part if the body e.g. muscle or gland that responds to stimuli. It receives an impulse from a motor neurone.

What is a Centeral nervous system (CNS)?
A
Its made up of the brain and the spinal cord. Gets an impulse from the sensory neurone

What is a synapse?
A
Its a space between two neurones. An impulse will jump between them.
