When should a PQDR be submitted?
-Anytime a part or component fails to meet its warranty or mean time schedule
-Anytime that a part is received with damage from shipping
-Anytime a part or component that is considered to be flight safety critical fails to perform properly during its mean time schedule
-If after receiving from supply or shortly after installation, a part fails to operate during testing
Any part that fails within _________ of installation is a PQDR candidate

How many classification categories are there for PQDR’s?
Two categories (Category 1 or Category 2)
What is a Category 1 deficiency?
A product quality deficiency which may cause death, injury, or severe occupational illness; would cause loss of or major damage to the end item; critically restricts the mission readiness capabilities of the using organization; or which would result in a product line stoppage during PDM overhaul and maintenance
What is a Category 2 deficiency?
A product quality deficiency assessed to have significant and widespread material or human resource impact but does not affect safety of personnel or impact mission efficiency
Approval from whom FOR THE PQDR must be obtained prior to entering into JDRS?
Engineering Officer, Maintenance Officer, or Leading Chief Petty Officer
