- Located in Kapooka, Wagga Wagga, NSW
- 80 days (11 weeks)
- physical training, weapons, first aid, drill and field craft.

- Defence Force School of Policing, Holsworthy, NSW.
- 101 days (not including weekends; 19 weeks)
- operational safety skills, defensive tactics, pistol loading, operating speed measuring devices so conducting traffic equipment and Service Police Investigators course - how to conduct an interview.
- Graduate as MP General Duties Grade 1

What can you expect to be your day-to-day role once posted to your unit?
A
- minor criminal investigations. Within the barracks you might have to deal with break and enters or damage. providing security through patrolling, mobility and manoeuvre support, there is civilian traffic within the base so if cars are exceeding speed limits. Internment and detention operations
- Maintain military effectiveness.
- assist enforcement and establishment of civilian laws.
