Job satisfaction refers to how happy an employee is with their job. What are two benefits of having high levels of job satisfaction?
People with high levels of job satisfaction are more efficient while working, and take less sick days. They are also less likely to leave a company on average.
Employers can increase an employee’s level of job satisfaction with different motivating factors. Describe the two types of motivation:
Intrinsic: Internal, motivated by personal improvement.
Extrinsic: External, motivated by tangible rewards.
Give 3 examples for each type of motivation:
Intrinsic: Better grades, increased personal knowledge, improved attitude.
Extrinsic: Prizes, bonuses, promotions, rewards.
